Making A Scene

"Bobby Kyle ... released his debut recording “After The Storm” in       October of ‘97. Guest artists included Kirkland, Copeland and Copeland’s  daughter, a young background vocalist, named Shemekia.

Kyle  appeared at The Pennsylvania Blues Festival in both 2015 and 2016. On  Friday night he and The Administers helped to open the festivities by  performing with Shemekia as she recreated many of her father’s songs.

(On)  It’s My Life, Kyle has written six new songs including the absolutely  fabulous “Lost and Found” featuring (Laron) Land on the soprano sax.  “Tell me what happened where did we go wrong…when I get my feet back on  the ground, I’ll see you in the lost and found…three sides to the story,  his, hers and the truth…”

On this highly recommended recording he is at his very best.

ELMORE MAGAZINE

"Bobby Kyle has earned his way to this release, as it was many years in  the making. In Blues Heaven, Bobby's mentors are smiling. They know that  he learned his blues well. This fine effort proves that, like them, he  now belongs at center stage.

Reflections in Blue

"From start to finish, "It's My Life" is a masterpiece that deserves  a place alongside the great masters of the past. Kyle and the band are  deeply rooted in the blues, its diverse styles, its remarkable history,  and its place in the making of contemporary  music what it is today.  This one is deserving of a Blues Music Award, at the very least.  The  blues is in capable hands.

Don and Sheryl's Blues Blog

"Bobby has one of those “well-worn” vocal styles that leans more toward  the Springsteen side of the register, and it serves this material well.   Check out the Memphis flavor of a love affair on the rocks, with a new  home—the “Lost And Found,” ...  A cool shot of that roots-rock is  “Driftwood,” with accordion from our multi-talented friend, Dave Keyes,  and Bobby stands up to a demanding lover in the blue-eyed soul of the  title cut, ’cause “It’s My Life, baby, and I do as I choose! Bobby Kyle  and the Administers have brought a varied and eclectic set to the table  with “It’s My Life.”  It continues his lifelong ambition to spread the  gospel of the blues to fans everywhere!

ROOTSTIME Magazine

" Bobby Kyle's mentors and examples will undoubtedly be proud of what  their protégé has achieved on 'It's My Life' solo. Kyle's album is very  varied in style and every song, especially very personal.  The torch  seems to have been passed on to 'It's My Life'
